Heads of Parasitology Division of IVRI

                                          When Dr. E.J.L. Soulsby visited the Division of Parasitology, IVRI, Izatnagar  with his wife (this might be in 1970's )-with the kind courtesy of Dr PD Juyal, date of this photograph is March-April, 1981)

                                                                 Dr. H.D. Srivastava -The Head of the Division of Parasitology who shaped it and started experimental parasitology in a big way ( H.D.Srivastava commemoration volume was published by the Division in 1970 to felicitate his retirement )  .
We are reproducing the  photographs of the Head of Division of Parasitology, IVRI,Izatnagar.

Prior to Dr RVN Srivastava , the post of Head of the Division was as per seniority. However,later it was made through advertisement ,giving merit a great boost. Dr RVN Srivastava and after wards all the Heads were those selected through advertisment.

We are thankful to the present Head of Division, Dr PS Bnaerjee for providing these valuable photographs for loading on this blog .

       Dr SC Dutt who enhanced prestige of Parasitology Division ,IVRI by receiving jointly the Rafi Ahmed Kidwai award, ICAR in 1964-65 which happened first in Animal Sciences .


No doubt, Division of Parasitology, IVRI has contributed a lot in advancing Parasitology in India hence it will be better to know about them . With this idea, I have created this post.
